Charity Drive

I have been donating to a Charity organization on a monthly basis via Giro. Recently they send me a letter addressing/clarifying the recent reports about their (huge sum) reserve funds. I was ok with it till........

the recent unscrupulous TV Ads calling for donation. It was such a big let down. the ads were :

........calling for people to call in to donate and win instant prizes...

......... one local actor was in a barber and was telling this guy beside him that : if you had call in last year... must call in this year... got double chance to win a condo and extra cash......

I have decided that I will stop my monthly giro deduction and give it to other charity organization who needs the funds. Although my donation may be just a little sum and is not significant to make any big impact on their huge collection of funds but I have been taught since young that donation is to be given out of selfless compassion without gaining any profit out of it.
